
Ms. Foley’s body of work includes an extensive background in the arts, as an educator, professional dancer, choreographer, artistic director, and adjudicator.
Sherilyn is currently a member of Indiana University’s Dance Faculty, where she teaches Jazz, Tap, Irish Step, Modern Dance, and Repertory. Sherilyn was nominated for a Student Choice Award for Outstanding Faculty. She is a former member of IUPUI’s Dance Faculty, where she was named Instructor of the Year. Sherilyn is listed in the prestigious Honor’s Edition of Who’s Who. She tours with and judges for various dance competitions, and teaches Master Classes and choreographs for several Universities, conventions, workshops, studios, and professional organizations across the country. Sherilyn also proudly served as the Resident Choreographer for a prominently-known dance competition.
Sherilyn continues to dance and choreograph professionally; highlights include Cabaret, Grease, Guys and Dolls, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Oklahoma, Little Shop of Horrors, The King and I, and Music Man; as well as dance company work, television, industrial shows, commercials, and video work.
She has danced with the Whitewater Opera Company, and was a MAC Cosmetics Dancer. Sherilyn dances annually in the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra’s multi-million dollar production of Yuletide Celebration, and also danced as a showgirl in ISO’s Pops Goes Vegas show this season.
Sherilyn has also choreographed and been featured on PBS’s award-winning children’s programming. She is the former Artistic Director and Choreographer of Footworks Dance Ensemble, and served 15 years as the Director of a privately-owned dance studio
