Stages Bloomington is a non-profit organization providing fun, quality theatre arts education and performance opportunities for children and teens, grades K-12. We strive to generate excitement and appreciation for the performing arts.

Stages Bloomington began in December 2005 with a very well received fifteen minute pre-show performance before a production of Amahl and the Night Visitors by Bloomington Music Works (BMW). The following spring, BMW offered a full-length production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast, performed by 1st-8th graders. In 2008, the BMW organization transitioned into a youth theatre organization, changing its name to Stages Bloomington.

Since that first show, Stages Bloomington has produced more than 25 fully-staged musicals, performed exclusively by children and teens. Stages has traveled to the Junior Theater Festival in Atlanta, Georgia, where it won the Broadway Junior Spirit Award, the festival's top honor, as well as the Freddie G Outstanding Achievement in Music Award.
