Join our special corps of actors in Acting UP! No singing, no dancing, just acting! Be the first to perform on our black box stage in this 10-week production class for actors in grades 5-8.

Actors will captivate and entertain young audiences in an enchanting two-act version of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh. This is the first title of Stages Bloomington's new series of plays, Classic Stories for New Audiences, which feature adaptations of loved children’s books, fables, and fairy tales, as the perfect close-up theatre experience for ages 4 and up. Perform for a young, new audience!

Actors do not need to sign up for an audition time and no outside preparation is necessary. All participants will be cast after the first rehearsals. Questions? Contact Acting UP! program director Pat Gleeson at director@stagesbloomington.com

Please note: a mandatory parent meeting will take place on February 20 from 6:15-7:15 p.m.

Online registration is open though February 13. Classes fill quickly and space is limited to 20 actors. Mail-in registrations must be postmarked by January 30 and scholarship applications by January 23. An online payment plan is available.
